Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge need no rationale, they are fashion statement

The largest smartphone maker in the world and biggest Android handset vendor in India Microsoft has launched its two top handsets in the Indian market Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Both the handsets are great and though they are pricey, the price tag of both the handsets especially Samsung Galaxy S6 looks a bit on lower level. When its last flagship had come, it cost a lot higher than this handset last year.

Though premium smartphone market is rather minuscule and occupies only one percent of the massive market here in India, it still makes twenty percent as far as the revenue of the market is concerned. So neither Apple nor Samsung take this market segment lightly. On the contrary Samsung launches its flagship handsets in the Indian market almost simultaneously compared to their launch in markets like USA and Canada.

There is no denying the fact that both the handsets are going to give tough time to Apple's flagship handsets including iPhone 6 and iPhone 6Plus. In the Indian market Samsung Galaxy S6 will come with the price tag ranging between Rs 49,900 and Rs 61,900; and the Galaxy S6 Edge will cost between Rs 58,900 and Rs 70,900.

The handsets look perfect from looks and specs. The two handsets come with impeccable specs, though some people will be feeling let down by the fact that the battery in the handset is fixed and cannot be taken out like the iPhone 6. Samsung Galaxy S6 comes with 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLOED display with 2560 X 1440 resolution, translating into 577ppi. S6 Edge comes equipped with 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED. It is dual edge display. The two handsets come with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection. They have Samsung's Exynos 7 Octa-core processor with two quad-core processor clocked at 2.1 GHz and 1.5GHz respectively and 3GB RAM.

Besides, the two are well-endowed. Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge come with 14 namometer mobile processor with a 64-bit platform, new LPDDR4 memory system and UFS 2.0 flash memory. The two come with 16MP main camera in the rear and a 5MP front facing camera. As far as battery is concerned, Galaxy S6 has 2,550mAh battery, while the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has a 2,600mAh battery and come with universal wireless charging. The handset run on Android 5.0.
