Panasonic launches EZ180 and EZ240 feature phones in India - Authint Mail
In a bid to expand its reach to price sensitive mass market, Japanese electronics major Panasonic launched two feature phones EZ180 and EZ240 for Rs 1,350 and Rs 1,790, respectively.
The company entered into the smartphone market with P51 last year. Later it expanded its smartphone segment with new mid range smartphones. These new affordable feature phones are the only devices in the Indian feature phone market which are CE certified, says the company.
These phones offered extended battery life, has Hindi support and comes with security features like mobile tracker, security Inbox & application privacy. These have Dual SIM support, LED torch light, expandable storage up to 16 GB, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, FM Radio with Recording and GPRS support.
"With these new offerings, Panasonic is focusing on expanding beyond the metros and delivering a remarkable mobile experience to the Indian mass consumers in tier II and tier III cities," Panasonic India MD Manish Sharma said in a statement.
"This launch is a testimony to the company's focus in reaching out to these markets which are increasingly price-sensitive perfectly matching to our consumers needs for affordable solutions," he added.
The Panasonic EZ180 comes in Blue, Grey and White colors and is priced at Rs. 1,350. The Panasonic EZ240 comes in Silver with black, Grey and White with black colors and is priced at Rs. 1,790. These new phones are available at retail outlets and chains across India.
