Moto G users give it an emphatic thumbs-up on social networks - Firstpost
We have seen great enthusiasm in India when it comes to the Moto G. The phone ended up being a great success for Flipkart, which struck an exclusive arrangement with Motorola for the launch. With 20,000 Moto Gs claimed to be sold within hours of the launch, the phone is turning out to be fastest selling in the retailer's history.
But does that mean that those who have bought the phone are entirely happy with the final experience? And does the expert view match with the end user's? We sifted through some of the social media posts and also some comments on our own Moto G (first impressions) stories to gauge the reaction.
One of the first comments that stood out was on a story discussing the merits and demerits of the Moto G. In response to a comment on the build quality of the Moto G vs its competition, 'AA :P' said, "I have a Canvas HD, but overall the fit and finish is not as good as Moto G which I saw with a friend of mine. Yes it is subjective, but the quality of plastic and the screen is definitely poorer than Moto G. while I'm satisfied with Canvas HD, and it was the best when I bought it last year, this year I'd pick the Moto G."
Another commenter 'Nithin' weighed in with a longer comment on the user experience on the Moto G. "I bought this phone for my brother, the 16 GB version. I must say, the phone is indeed splendid. I myself carry a Micromax Canvas device. It's worth pointing out that my phone looks like a piece of shit in front of Moto G. A midrange phone like Moto G carrying a Snapdragon processor with a quad core and an Adreno GPU itself implies how good this phone is on paper. And let me tell you, the performance of the phone is indeed good. I have run games like Mortal Combat, Asphalt 8 Airborne, Six Guns and GTA Vice City. Splendid display, crisp and neat. Absolutely no lag at all, period! Battery back-up also looks good easily lasting an entire day. And what many seem to have claimed is the issue on Moto G, the camera. It's definitely better than the 8 MPs of the likes of Micromax, Karbonn and Lava, taking decent pictures though not good as the 8 MPs of a Google Nexus or a Samsung smartphone. But who cares when you get such a phone for such a price. The storage issue now, 16 GB clubbed with 65 GB cloud storage from Google and Motorola looks good to me. All in all, I'd like to say, this phone is worthier than all of my present and past phones combined."
On Twitter too, there were enthusiastic new Moto G owners posting their first impressions, even as others rued the long waiting time for the next batch of 16GB models. Here are a few tweets about the phone.
#MotoG – An amazing user experience . Buy it without any doubts.
