Xperia Z2, code named Sirius in the first image before its official debut at MWC 2014?

Sony could launch until early March Xperia Z2, an updated version of Sony Xperia Z1 flagship model launched last fall at IFA 2013.

Today, we have a series of photos that in which we could see for the first time the Sony Xperia Z2. Although the one who shared the photo gallery below, presents the device as a Sony Xperia D6503 and similarities between this phone and Xperia Z1 are striking, with the observation that the handle which allows attaching a lanyard as on a camera is positioned in the left of the Xperia D6503 model, while on the Xperia Z1 is located on the right side, makes us believe that it's Xperia Z2.

According to the source who revealed this photo, Sony will launch Xperia Z2 with a 5.3 inch touchscreen display, I expect there will be a water and dust resistant housing, a Snapdragon 800 or 805 processor, 2 or 3 GB RAM, 16/32 GB internal memory and microSD slot, while it has a 23 MP camera on the back. In addition, the smartphone will hit stores in 5 different colors.

At the moment we have no information about the hardware aspect of the new Xperia Z2 model, which is likely to debut at Mobile World Congress in late February, but we will come back with details when they are available.
