Samsung Galaxy Note 3 announced at IFA 2013 - Gigjets
Yet another Android-based phablet has been announced by Samsung and it is the latest upgrade to its famous Galaxy Note series. The device is called the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and it sports a 5.7-inch display. Samsung announced this phablet at IFA 2013, and it is thinner, lighter and comes with a slimmer bezels than its predecessor. This new device has a soft textured back cover which comes along with a serrated pattern on the side, it is designed to give the feeling that one is using a notebook or a diary. As it is a part of the Galaxy Note series, it comes with a new and improved S Pen, equipped with the new Air Command feature which opens a palette of five tools for better functioning of the S Pen stylus. In terms of the specifications, it is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor which is clocked at 2.3GHz or an eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor depending on the market. It boasts a 5.7-inch full HD resolution Super AMOLED display. The Galaxy Note 3 is further equipped with 3GB of RAM and comes with 32/64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded using a microSD card. It also sports a 13 megapixel rear camera with Smart Stabilization and high CRI LED flash, a secondary 1.9 megapixel front facing camera and a 3,200 mAh battery. In terms of the software the phablet comes pre-loaded with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and includes Samsung's Knox mobile security feature which is enterprise and consumer security service design by the company. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will start shipping by the end of this month and will be available across the world in October. At the moment the pricing has not been announced. | |||
