E-commerce sites are sure turning out to be the devil's advocates when it comes to leaking the latest smartphone prices. While there has been no official word from Nokia yet, a little birdie on an e-commerce site informs us that the phone will land in India in the well over Rs 30k segment.

The phone which has been a success internationally and was perhaps the most rumoured Nokia phone (remember Nokia Catwalk) is finally ready to walk the ramp in India it seems. Nokia Lumia 925 replaced the Lumia 920 as a flagship device. Though it does not come with a camera as good as the Nokia Lumia 1020, it is still a flagship model with all the frills.

The device comes in an aluminium body in a sleek design. The metal-finish does give the phone a toned down look as compared to its colourful Lumia series. However, it is not the complete phone that is aluminium. The back continues to be poly-carbonate with just an aluminium band on the edges. The aluminium band on the side acts like the antenna and makes the phone slimmer and lighter at just 139 grams.

Nokia Lumia 925 comes with a 4.5-inch OLED PureMotion HD+ (same as Nokia Lumia 920). The screen is an AMOLED screen and comes with Gorilla Glass 2. The ClearBlack resolution at 768 x 1280 pixels promises better quality images and a better viewing experience.

Nokia Lumia 925, like all other Lumia series phones, runs on Windows 8 platform. Nokia Lumia 925 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.5 GHz dual-core processor under the hood. The internal memory is 16 GB and unfortunately there is no memory card slot. Nokia does offer some amount of free cloud storage but the lack of a memory card slot with just one internal memory variant might be the deal-breaker for many. The RAM is 1 GB.

The most important feature of Nokia Lumia 925 is the camera. The camera comes with Nokia's PureView camera software. The rear end comes with 8.7 MP resolution. The phone also supports dual-LED flash.  The phone comes with a 2000 mAh battery which is non-removable.  the back does not support wire-less charging. Separate back-panels are provided by Nokia for wireless charging. While the phone is available in only three colours: Black, White and Gray (a disappointment in the colourful Lumia series), the back panels come in bright colours.

The phone is all set to debut in India for a price tag of Rs 33,999. While it is definitely a better price as compared to Nokia Lumia 920 which came with a price-tag of over Rs 35k, we still feel Nokia is stretching the price tag by a bit.
