OnePlus One, the smartphone with high-end specs and mid-budget pricing from the Chinese technology start-up OnePlus, will no longer require an invite for users to purchase the device.

Currently only Amazon.in has the OnePlus One smartphone in India and the system required users to get an invite before buying the smartphone.

Carl Pei, Co-founder and Head of Global, OnePlus, said in a press statement, "This current shift from an invite system to a non-invite system is a big step, one from which we will learn a great deal before the OnePlus 2 launch, with invites, in the third quarter of this year."

OnePlus is also offering a a flat 50 percent off on OnePlus accessories like OnePlus JBL E1+ Earphones, OnePlus Flip Cover (White) and OnePlus Premium Matte Screen Protector.

OnePlus One comes in two versions. The 16 GB silk white which is priced at Rs 18,999, while the 64GB version comes in Sandstone black and costs Rs 21,999.

Specifications of the OnePlus One include: a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920x1080p, 401 PPI) LTPS IPS with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2.5GHz Quad-core, 3GB RAM and 64GB or 16GB internal storage but no external slot. The OnePlus One has a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera, the camera supports 4K video recording with slow-motion.

In addition to this the battery is 3100 mAh battery and the OnePlus One runs the Cyanogen 11S OS based on Android 4.4. More recently, OnePlus has released the Oxygen OS for OnePlus, however it is best to wait before installing it on your smartphone.
