New Delhi: Expanding its product lineup, Micromax is all geared up to announce a product under a new category at its event on April 30. While the company has not revealed any information as to what it has up its sleeves for the event, the cryptic media invite sent by it says, "the launch of the #TheMicromaxNextSmartThing", with a question mark next to the the company's existing three product categories – phone, tablet, TV.
The invite also mentions that the event will be attended by executives from Intel and Microsoft, hinting at a Windows device powered by an Intel chipset. Given that it would be a Windows product under a new product category, we expect it to be a laptop.
Meanwhile, the company tweeted a post with an image that gives an impression of a 2-in-1 device. Combining these threads, we presume the upcoming product to be a 2-in-1 hybrid device.
