LG G4 may feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC - India Today

A purported leak suggests that the LG G4, which is LG's upcoming flagship handset may feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC processor. It was long expected that LG may use the top-end Snapdragon 810 SoC on the G4 flagship, despite reports of its overheating and other related issues.

The handset is set to be launched on April 28 and is expected to hit the stands soon.

Reportedly, a Twitter user named @iziHaterz, has shown the display of the LG G4 which has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 and the SoC section of the interface besides other details - six CPU cores and Adreno 418 GPU.

If the leak indication is true then LG G4 will be the first device to be powered by this chipset. The Snapdragon 808 houses a dual-core ARM Cortex A57 and a quad-core A53 with 64-bit support.

The LG G4 sports a 5.5-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) resolution IPS display with a pixel density of 535ppi. It will come with a 16-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and LED flash and laser autofocus. On rear side it sports an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The device also supports a manual camera mode where users can play with shutter speed, OIS, brightness, image quality (raw/ jpeg), white balance of the handset's camera and more.

It is powered by of 3000mAh battery.

According to LG G4 micro-site, the smartphone will come in both leather and plastic rear panels.
