Lava Iris Alfa L launched at Rs 8000 in India; features 5.5-inch display, 8MP ... - Firstpost

Indian handset maker Lava has further expanded its Iris smartphone line with the addition of the new Lava Iris Alfa L. The smartphone is a successor to the Lava Iris Alfa, which was launched earlier this year at Rs 6,550. The device, which is listed on the company's website, is available at a price of Rs 8,000. It will be available in White and Black colour variants. No details have been provided as to when the smartphone will be available to masses.

In terms of specifications, the Lava Iris Alfa L sports a 5.5-inch qHD IPS display with a 540 x 960 pixel resolution. It includes a 16.7 million colour gamut along with a pixel density of roughly 200ppi. it is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor along with 1 GB RAM. The dual SIM device offers an internal storage at 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

The Lava Iris Alfa L runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and comes equipped with an 8MP autofocus PureCel rear camera along with LED flash. It sports a 2MP front-facing camera as well. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports  3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS and USB 2.0. It includes a 3,000mAh battery and the company claims that the battery delivers up to 12 days of standby time (with single sim) and up to 13 hours 15 mins of talk time (3G).
