Nokia X2 to pack an improved processor and RAM - The Droid Guy

Nokia X2

A new leak from China has spilled the beans on the hardware of the Nokia X2 which is the successor to the widely popular Nokia X handset. The revelation comes from China and claims that Nokia's second attempt at the budget Android smartphone will contain a slightly faster quad core Snapdragon 200 processor and 1GB of RAM with 4GB of internal storage.

The increase in RAM capacity is certainly a welcome change for the successor as most new Android apps require ample amount of RAM to function decently. The processor on the smartphone clocked a decent 11827 on benchmarks, which is very respectable for a budget offering. Given that the Nokia X was only recently unveiled by the manufacturer, we don't think the successor will make its way to the markets anytime soon.

The listing we saw here is most likely from a test unit which Nokia engineers are currently using, so don't raise your hopes just yet. Given that cost is one of the crucial factors for the success or failure of midrange devices like these, we think Nokia will be even more aggressive with its pricing this time around.
