Airtel 4G LTE speeds rock Ludhiana with postpaid plans as low as R 100 - Daily Bhaskar

The telecom company Bharti Airtel has rolled out 4G LTE network in Ludhiana. The company announced launch of its 4G services in Ludhiana.

With this roll out, the industrial hub becomes the 1st city in the country to witness the electrifying internet browsing experience simultaneously on dongles, Wi-Fi CPEs (Customer Premise Equipment/ routers) and mobile phones. While the dongles and the Wi-Fi CPE's will give customers the fastest broadband experience at home, with Apple iPhone 5S and 5C customers can experience the same on the move, said Airtel in a release.

Customers on iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c can start their mobile 4G experience right away by upgrading to a USIM (Universal SIM) / 4G SIM and selecting a plan/pack of their choice from an affordable range of offers.

One can also go for 4G dongle, Wi-Fi CPE and other 4G compatible handsets. The USIM will come free with the purchase of dongle or CPE. It will cost Rs 49 for mobile users while for dongles, these are priced at Rs 1500 and the CPE is priced at Rs 2500.

4G packs or plans are available at Rs 999 (for postpaid – mobiles, dongles and CPEs) and Rs 995 (for prepaid- mobiles only) for heavy data user offering 10 GB of 4G data.

For postpaid mobile customers, the plans will start as low as Rs 100. This might be because of an anticipated competition from Reliance Jio which is likely to launch services sometime later this year, comments LightReading.
In Q3 last year Bharti announced its partnership with Government of Punjab to take high speed 4G LTE services to all towns and villages across Punjab State.
