Facebook's 'Look Back' feature will soon allow editing - Daily News & Analysis
Everyone on Facebook must have noticed that of late their newsfeed is full of 'Look Back' videos.
Facebook's innovative way to celebrate their 10-year anniversary is a customised video for each user to look through their most momentous Facebook moments. The videos have gone viral on social media with people sharing their 'life on Facebook' across platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.
However, a common contention among users is that there is no edit feature. Most people wanted to add a couple of pictures of moments that Facebook missed.
In the 'A Look Back' help tab, there is a section that explains 'Click Edit Your Movie' below the video player. Use the check marks on your photos and other stories to adjust whether they appear in your movie. You're reading the Desktop Help answer. Learn more in our other Help Centres.'
However, there is no such button. According to TechCrunch, the button is coming soon.
TechCrunch quoted a Facebook representative saying, "We will be launching an Edit feature soon that will allow people to change moments in their movies or update the ones they shared. I don't have exact timing at the moment, but this will enable people to remove a post from the movie that was pre-selected and change it to a different one."
So, you just have to wait a while longer to create your own unique Look Back video, putting in memories you find important as opposed to Facebook putting in some random ones.
Put the internet to work for you.
