When it comes to the most crucial aspect of technology revolution, the internet, we are too slow. We keep on calling ourselves as the technology and internet giant, but if we go by the average internet speed available in India, we are among the slowest nations. The never heard countries like Lithuania and Romania have grabbed the spot among the top 10 nations when it comes to the highest internet speed in the world. India is far behind in the list. Most of the Indian users lose time in getting the right speed and sort issues that continuously affect them on the regular basis. There is an unending problem of inaction when it comes to the repairing of internet connection. This is the reason that most internet users even in metro cities like New Delhi, the capital of India, look so much dissatisfied with it. The latest Akamai Technologies' State of the Internet report puts India at 109th rank in the world when it comes to top peak speed average of 10.6 Mbps. It is 27% faster than the last quarter and 34% faster than last year. But talking about the average internet connection speed, it is still 1.3 Mbps and is the lowest among Asian nations. The average internet connection speed in Korea is as high as 14.2Mbps. In terms of global average connection speed, it is considerably higher than India's average speed. The average internet speed in the world is 3.1 Mbps, said Akamai Technologies' State of the Internet report.  | |||
