New Delhi: Maps are, well, just maps. They help you find a route to your destination and gauge traffic. But, Microsoft is aiming to bring in more functionality to its mobile maps than just helping you locate places.
The software giant is updating its map app, which will now be called just Maps app for the upcoming Windows 10, and apart from helping you find directions, it will also help you find things to do based on the directions or destinations you search for.

As Engadget notes, you can now easily look for something to eat near your hotel and book the table on the spot, and this is just one of the instances you could leverage the new feature. It is more like an all-inclusive search-cum-mapping feature that Microsoft is aiming to present us with.
The Maps app has not only been added with more features but also sports a modern interface that ties more closely with Microsoft Bing's search results with the usual photos, reviews , and directions.
