Twitter has announced a new feature called as Highlights which is similar to Facebook's News Feed. The so-called Highlights feature will bring out relevant content for the user and prevent the users from becoming overwhelmed.Twitter-Highlights

The new feature will provide a better user experience and also provide an excellent summary of what is being talked about Twitter, and currently, it is supported only on the Android operating system. Similar to Google Play on Android operating system, the user can swipe the highlighted tweets via Highlights feature.

Twitter said in a blog post Thursday,

"While your home timeline is a great place to browse through and engage with Tweets, we know it can be challenging to find the time to get through everything," "To create your Highlights, we look at things like the accounts and conversations that are popular among people you follow, Tweets from people you're closely tied to, topics and events that are trending in your area or within your network, and people that are popular or trending among people you follow,"

After Twitter removes 'Discover' for trending topics,  updates Periscope, a live video streaming app and decides to launch a new homepage for non-members. Now, Twitter has planned for an implementing Highlights feature in its platform. Now, users can also receive direct messages from other users, even they don't follow. According to the internet talks, Twitter is trying to convince Wall Street, that the reach of the platform is being increased and also has more active users than the WSJ publishes about Twitter's user count.

Gartner Research Director Brian Blau said that Twitter's Highlight will definitely attract those people, who doesn't want to bogged down by unlimited tweets. He also added that Highlight will prompt more user engagement in the Twitter platform.
